Attorney Checklist : Laying the Foundation for a Perfect Animation

Animations are the most powerful way to show jurors exactly what happened while making them feel like they’re in the middle of a CSI episode. However, the most important part of creating a compelling animation that doesn't turn out to be a compelling waste of money - is accuracy.

So how do you make your animation depict an event as close to perfect as humanly possible?

Computer animations are capable of perfection, but only if you have the right amount of data to input so that the system can output an exact representation of the event. So loosely translated: garbage in is going to be garbage out. Your goal when laying the foundation for your animation should be to gather as much real-world data as possible.

This checklist will help you gather the most commonly available evidence needed to animate most situations.
